As promised, I will be moving my blog...so this will be my final entry in hibari no nakigoe. All further updates to my blog will be posted at the following URL:

http://onthepond.net/ducky/

I'll be leaving hibari here until the end of the year. If you would like to be linked from the new blog, just e-mail me...my e-mail address can be found in my profile. If you don't feel like e-mailing me, then uh...post in my guestbook? That's still up, right? Anyway, let me leave you with these words:

-If you ever go to Niagara Falls, go on the Canadian side. You'll be glad you did.
-Never buy a power roller. The cleanup is a bitch.
-Go Giants!

...Ehh, the hockey season's over now. I am sad. ;_; Yay for the Devils, but not for those of their fans that booed when Giguere was announced as the Conn Smythe winner. Bah. And yay for the Ducks for making it go the distance. Ah...must look forward to next season, when I will go to games and hopefully they won't go on strike...

The Random Sunday Quote:
Gary Thorne: "...Into the zone, Sykora kicked it out, got it back, near side Kariya...Kariya, the fans want one...SCOOOOOOOOORE!!! OFF THE FLOOR! ON THE BOARD! PAUL KARIYA!"
(I saw that goal...and then I screamed. And then I cried. That had to be one of the most drama-filled periods of hockey that I've ever seen. T_T More on that later in the entry.)

I saw this poll on ESPN.com:

Which result on Super Saturday was most disappointing?
Uh...my answer would be "none of the above", but that wasn't an option. I can't stand Clemens, I couldn't care less about the horses, and I'm rooting for the Ducks. Game 7!!! Oh, and for the record, I'm not as critical of Kariya as I said I was...I'm probably more protective than critical...bah. T_T I actually taped Game 6 even though I was there to watch it. I think I'll watch the second period again after I'm done here, that was one of the greatest things ever. ^_^;;; The hit/comeback was the main story, of course, but there was a lot of action in that period, lots of flurries, it was great stuff.

I went ahead and got that domain I was talking about...I'm planning to move this blog over there in a week. Only problem is that I didn't make any pages for it yet. x_x Oh well, after tomorrow I'll have time to let my mind drift to things besides hockey.

Damn it. There's been something in my eye since last night, I think it's an eyelash, but it's been hiding in my eyelid because whenever I look I can't see anything, and I've tried to flush it out a couple of times but it hasn't worked. x_x Though right now I can't tell if it's still there. My eyes are so irritated. Where are my drops...?

The only thing I've liked about the series being on ABC is all those b/w pictures of the players...those are good pictures. I wonder if they're on the net anywhere, if they are I'd so put them on my desktop...

Okay, not to take anything away from Brodeur, but when he's only seeing 16 shots a game, is it surprising that he has two shutouts?

::five minutes pass, the Ducks score, and she breathes a huge sigh of relief::

At any rate, I guess Anaheim's playing a lot better in this game. ^_^ I didn't see much of the first two games (since I work until 5, sometimes later...and I'm on the West Coast, for those of you just joining), but I'm kind of glad I didn't, considering. :/ Mm...and I kind of wish they didn't have the hockey games on ABC...it's less cheesy on ESPN, you know? Or maybe I'm just saying this because Chris Berman's saying stuff during the intermissions and I can't stand him. x_x

"I'm not a cheerleader. I'm an athletic supporter. ...?"
(Er, anyone remember that commercial?)

What's this? I'm posting on consecutive days!? Well, I've been on the computer quite a bit this weekend...the weekend is really the only time I'm even on the computer anymore...so yeah, I'm posting, even though I should probably be attending to more important things. ~looks at her room~ I wanted to mention that I'm seriously considering moving this blog over to another location and changing its title. I'm trying to get out of that "using Japanese words all the time" phase with my sites (though 'disorganization senritsu' will be left as-is...but I digress). When and if I actually do this, I'll let you know.

Well...another series is over. I suppose I really do have to buy that shirt now. o_o But anyway, yay for the Ducks. Yay for Giguere. Yay for the PK unit. Yay for Kariya even, he scored twice in Game 3. It still surprises me that they swept, because going in I honestly thought the series was going to be a long one. The way Game 4 was played...I think that was how I expected the whole series to be...hm. I wonder how many people outside of Minnesota and Orange County actually watched it?

The Random Sunday Quote:
"Gomez! I've invented the wheel!" (uh, I watched the Cave Dwellers episode recently...again...)

Mother's Day...my mother decided to go to work because there was "so much" that she had to get done. She has the usual Monday-Friday job, but since she's a manager-supervisor type, she spends a lot of overtime in the office. I think she's insane going in today, though...

And...there's nothing on TV. Nothing except for like...auto racing and NBA playoffs. I lost all interest in the NBA after Jordan's first retirement, and I've never really been into auto racing...there was a brief period in time when I watched F-1 racing, but that was it. At least yesterday was cool.

Oh, and I actually did change my bio the other night. I'll add more to it as I come up with things...

This has certainly been an interesting week...on Monday, Game 6 of the Ducks-Stars series was on at the same time as Game 5 of the Wild-Canucks series. I started out watching the Ducks-Stars (since that was the series in which I had a rooting interest), but then the Stars scored, so I went to the other game. The Ducks seemed to be playing better while I wasn't watching their game (even though I know this had absolutely nothing to do with it), so I watched that entire 7-2 rout. x_x Last I knew, the Ducks and Stars were tied at 3, so I went back to see if they were going into overtime...but it was over. Sandis Ozolinsh had scored the game-winner in the closing minutes. Sandis Ozolinsh, the former Shark. I practically wept for the next two minutes, partly out of shock that they won and partly because I felt like a dork for missing it. 9_9 And then last night the Wild pulled off the upset, coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the series. Again. ...My brain is now officially numb. I have no idea who will win. All I know is that Anaheim could use offense. Kariya seriously needs to put some points on the board. He had, what, two in the last series? That's not going to cut it now. ...I'm rather critical of him. Maybe it's because I find him attractive, I don't know, whatever. :P I know it's not his salary because I didn't know what that was until last night.

I haven't bought the Ducks shirt yet. Feh. I'd even get a jersey, but I have a feeling that a jersey with Keith Carney's name and number on it wouldn't exactly be something I'd find on the rack.

Hm...I think I'll revamp my bio tonight. The key word here is "think", but...yeah.

I've found new ways to get annoyed when watching sports. That's not good. I was channel-surfing and I came across the NCAA Championship men's volleyball match. It was during Game 1 and I noticed that both teams had over 15 points. That confused me...but then I realized they had changed the way scoring works. Anyway, I ended up watching that...and I wanted Lewis to win because they were a small school. So whenever they screwed up or BYU went on a run, I wouldn't be happy. So...I wasn't happy for practically all of Game 4. The crowd was mainly pro-BYU, which sickened me for some unknown reason. But Lewis ended up winning, so...yay for them. ^^ Oh, and the Giants won...so some good things happened today. Wheee.
